Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to earn a 10. a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor who became Comaneci's coach later on she discovered her when she was six. She first competed in the junior national championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She took the title in the year 1970. At her first international event in an preolympics junior event that was open to countries of the communist bloc, she was awarded three gold medals. In 1973 and 1975, she was crowned all-around Junior Champion. At her first competitive event at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals as well being awarded a silver. She won the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also was the first female ever to remove the bars in parallel with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She started her career in entertainment as a teenager, when she performed as the figure skating duo of her sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her entertainment career during her teenage years. Her first professional gig was figure skating alongside Nina Wayne, her younger sister, in the traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. Ice Capades showcased performances of ice-skating with actors.
