Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born 20th of August 1974 Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically-acclaimed performances of naive and charming characters. Adams was one of seven siblings that grew up when she was a kid in the city of Castle Rock, Colorado. Her birth was during the time that her father worked in the U.S. Military in Italy. The mid-1990s saw her begin professional dancing and performed at Boulder's Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. After moving to Minnesota, she starred in the mock-documentary film Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) concerning beauty pageant contests. In Los Angeles, she pursued an acting career after her debut film in which she portrayed the dizzy, but friendly contestant. Her husband was the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was her mother to Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's career in film began in the late 1940s after she was accepted by MGM. Her name was discovered by Norma Shearer. Her role as Norma was featured in a few popular movies through time, like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho from 1960 and Living It Up, a Martin and Lewis film released in 1954.
